Alpha Alpha's First Installation a great success.
The men of the newly re-activated Kappa Delta Phi, Alpha Alpha Chapter at University of Maine Orono just conducted their first installation of new officers at the Penobscot Valley Country Club, on Saturday April 19th.
This formal event was a shining example of the dedicated hard work of several young men striving in a common goal of fellowship.
The event was attended by the full membership of Alpha Alpha, University of Maine, Orono Associate Dean of Students, Angel Loredo, as well as Field Representative's Ken Oliver from Presque Isle's Mu chapter and Edward Webber of University of Southern Maine's Iota chapter.
Also in attendance were local alumnae from our sister sorority at University of Machias' Kappa Eta chapter, Jennifer D'Appollonio, Samm Stewart, and Victoria DeMambro. Alumni from University of Maine, Presque Isle's Mu chapter were represented by Ken Oliver, Kevin Kirkbride and Jeff Willette. Other Chapter Alumni representations were Rho chapter's Jon White, active Kappa Lambda sister Taryn Beaumont, and active Kappa Mu sister, Sam White.
SUNY New Paltz alumnus, Ken Holman from Alpha Gamma Chapter and alumna Jill Bivona of Kappa Chi chapter drove over 6 hours to attend this event.
The love and support these men and women have provided to the young men of Alpha Alpha was appreciated.

Summer Leadership college is not all classrooms and lectures.
Brother leaders found out that Summer Leadership College is not all classrooms and lectures as they spent most of Saturday in white water rafts and participating in other team building exercises.
Arrival and check in began early Friday afternoon and was followed by supper and leadership sessions. The chapter leaders from each chapter were in attendance. The sessions involved leadership training, team building, networking, risk management, rush and recruitment and chapter management.
Saturday started very early for the leaders of Kappa Delta Phi. After breakfast the leaders started the rafting excursion in the Penobscot River, they broke for lunch on the river and continued rafting until supper. More breakout sessions followed till late in the night with participation by all members.
Sunday morning began with breakfast, followed by individual chapter meetings with assigned field consultants and their charges, then the closing ceremony and eventual camp break.
A good time was had by all and all the fraternity leaders were all encouraged to be starting the new year with the proper tools and commitment to another successful year for Kappa Delta Phi.
