This site users 3 different sets of user names and passwords.  1) front Page 2) forums 3) open nest and they do not tie in with each other.

1 - The Front Page

The front page, what you are viewing now, uses a username and password so you can create a "My KappaTalk" page with a customizable view on important topics to you. these views or blocks can be the KappaTalk News Blogs, RSS feeds provided by the KappaTalk or RSS feeds you add on your own and finally keywords such as your chapter (ie; Nu or Kappa Eta) you can view and set up your "My KappaTalk" by creating an account on the front page www.kapatalk.com and then looking for the link for "my site" or going to  http://my.kappatalk.com

2 – The Forums

The forums are accessible via the link in the front page or by http://forums.kappatalk.com. It is a restricted area for Kappas only. Your Account's approval will be set as pending when you sign up.

3 - The Open Nest

 The Open nest is a social networking accessible via the link on the FrontPage or by http://open.kappatalk.com . this part of the KappaTalk is open to friends, family, rushes, pledges, and faculty of colleges or universities.
