Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority philanthropic endeavor

Calling all Kappa Brothers and Sisters,

Please Help out with out philanthropic endeavor for 2007. It’s taking place on Saturday, September 15th in Portland, Maine.  Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority Alumnae Association, Inc. in conjunction with Xclusive Salon is sponsoring “Take the Short Cut for Locks of Love!”  Locks of Love is a national non-profit organization that creates hair pieces for youngsters under the age of 18 who have lost their hair to cancer or other debilitating diseases.  Absolutely no cost is passed on to the recipient and that’s where the Kappa Family comes in.

You’ll find us at 1124 Brighton Avenue, Portland…just of the Westbrook-Portland Exit of 95…keeping company with the very capable stylists of Xclusive Salon to generate donations of hair and funds for LOL.  If you want to ‘share a little hair’ you can contribute by stopping by for a cut or trim at salon prices ($18 males and $28 females).  All net financial proceeds go to Locks of Love.  If you want to make a big change in your life (as well as the lives of LOL kiddos) donate 6 or more inches of hair and get a free cut and style.  It is as simple as that.  All cuts are done on a fist-come, first-serve basis with the last cuts being taken at 3:30 P.M.

Can’t make it to P-town that day?  Don’t despair.  The Alumnae Association will be accepting donations on behalf of Locks of Love.  Make checks payable to KDPNAS Alumnae Association, Inc. so we can send one check on behalf of all.  Individuals donating hair and funds will be recognized individually by Locks of Love and you’ll have the undying gratitude of the Alumnae Sisters, too.

So mark you calendars for September 15th!  All roads lead to Portland and this very worthwhile event.  For more information, contact Sue Dyer Taylor, President KDPNAS Alumnae Association, Inc. at sdtaylor1@maine.rr.com
