Convention 2007 news. Please join us in congratulating the brothers and sisters of Kappa Delta Phi and Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority in yet another successful year. Convention 2007 was record setting, with almost 400 attendees. After our two separate business meetings, the brothers and sisters came together for a joint award luncheon with keynote speaker Michael Avis of Omicron chapter. As Vice President of J.P. Morgan, Brother Avis credits his years with Kappa Delta Phi for instilling within him the leadership and character he has used to succeed. This year the brothers and sisters worked together on our national philanthropy, Cradles to Crayons. Located in Boston and Philadelphia, this organization provides children living in poverty with everyday supplies essential to their safety, education, and well being. Thanks to a semester of hard work, we were able to present Cradles to Crayons with over $2600 and a van full of supplies. The annual award winners are:For the brothers of Kappa Delta Phi National Fraternity-
for the Sisters Of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority
We have also welcomed Kappa Alpha Iota as the newest chapter of Kappa Delta Phi, NAS. Located at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, our newest chapter traveled over 350 miles to receive their charter. Congratulations to KAI chapter and their 24 active sisters! Kappa Delta Phi fraternity has also welcomed a new colony. Lambda colony, located at Husson College in Bangor, Maine attended their first convention this year. Congratulations to Lambda colony!
Following the business meetings and awards luncheon, many sisters and brothers met up for dinner at Max's Tavern in downtown Springfield Saturday evening. The brothers and sisters departed Sunday to the worst nor'easter of the season! While there were a few small accidents, we are thankful everyone got home safely. Tags Links
