Omicron Alumni Association News

The Omicron Alumni Association welcomed its oldest member, Brother Tony Botto to the OAA this year. Tony, along with Brother Anthony Brescia, are considered to be the original "Founding Brothers" of Omicron Chapter in 1961. Our current rolls have Brothers from every decade of Omicron's existence at North Adams State College. We currently have 20 Brothers in Good Standing and have contact with 90+ Brothers on a regular basis. We are planning on holding our first annual OAA meeting this coming March prior to the April Convention. Brothers come from all over the Northeast; 11 in Massachusetts, 4 in New Hampshire, 1 in New York, 1 in Rhode Island, 1 in New Jersey, and 1 in Maryland.

Special thanks to Brother Richie Talieri who opened up his restaurant in Boston, "Anchovies" to Omicron Brothers on October 21st to watch the patriots / Dolphins game. As we used to say in North Adams - a good time was had by all. Richie made pizza (it was free, thanks again Richie) and opened the bar to the Brothers that joined him at his place.

We are in the process of creating a Brother's Tree to trace the history of Omicron Chapter through the Big/Little heritage from the beginning in 1961. We have a lot of information but are missing some crucial years, especailly those of the 1970's and earlier. If you have any information about Omicron pledge classes or can provide information about Big and Little Brothers please send it to me at kdp-oaa@comcast.net.

Fraternally,

Tony DeMarco
